Kessel Racing has earned an automatic invitation to the prestigious 2027 24 Hours of Le Mans following a triumphant season in the GT World Challenge Europe Bronze Cup. The team’s #74 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo excelled, securing the invite for the second consecutive year by being the highest-scoring full-season entry in its class.
The #74 Ferrari clinched victories at both the Monza Endurance Cup round and the 24 Hours of Spa, contributing to a total of five podium finishes throughout the 13-race season. These accomplishments granted Kessel Racing the full-season and Endurance Cup Bronze Cup Teams’ titles. Regular drivers Dustin Blattner and Dennis Marschall also dominated the Endurance Cup, with Marschall winning both the Endurance Cup and full-season Bronze Cup Drivers’ championships.
Kessel Racing joins TF Sport, the European Le Mans Series LMGT3 Teams’ Champion, and Orey Fidani, the IMSA Bob Akin Award recipient, in securing LMGT3 entries for the upcoming Le Mans event.
In the LMP2 category, invitations have been awarded to:
- United Autosports (ELMS LMP2 Teams’ Champion)
- Forestier Racing by Panis (ELMS LMP2 runner-up)
- Algarve Pro Racing (ELMS LMP2 Pro/Am Teams’ Champion)
- CLX Motorsport (ELMS LMP3 Teams’ Champion)
- George Kurtz (IMSA Jim Trueman Award winner)
Additionally, an invitation to the Hypercar category will be determined by a team nomination from IMSA. The final two automatic invitations will be issued to the champions of LMP2 and GT teams in the 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series.
As the countdown to Le Mans continues, Kessel Racing’s achievements highlight their status as a key contender in endurance racing.
