Vista AF Corse Announces Rookie Test in Bahrain
Bahrain, November 9, 2025 – Vista AF Corse has confirmed that drivers Nicola Lacorte and Matias Zagazeta will participate in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) rookie test next week, specifically featuring the Ferrari 296 LMGT3.
Eighteen-year-old Lacorte, son of six-time 24 Hours of Le Mans veteran Roberto Lacorte, made his sportscar debut this year at the 24 Hours of Daytona. He followed up with a stint at the Battle on the Bricks in Indianapolis while also competing in his inaugural FIA Formula 3 season.
Peruvian driver Zagazeta comes with two years of experience in FIA Formula 3 and showcased impressive performance at the recent European Le Mans Series (ELMS) Rookie Test in Portimão, where he recorded the fastest times in both sessions.
Additionally, Tom Fleming, who is currently the FIA WEC’s nominated rookie for the LMGT3 category, may join his teammates in this test. Vista AF Corse’s #21 Ferrari 296 GT3 team stands second in the LMGT3 Championship, only 11 points behind the current leaders. Fleming is expected to drive the championship-winning vehicle.
The FIA WEC Rookie Test will occur on November 9, immediately following the season finale.
