2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours Update: Race Resumes After Power Failure

The 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours race resumed following a significant interruption due to a power failure caused by an overloaded air conditioning system. The grid order for the restart was determined based on the standings after nine laps, incorporating adjustments for minimum pit stop times.

Notably, the #911 Manthey Porsche took pole position upon restart, with the #33 Falken Porsche in second and the #14 GetSpeed Mercedes in third. Despite leading at the red flag, Kondo Racing’s #45 Ferrari 296 GT3 was relegated to fourth place as a result of the restart procedures.

The race clock continued during the red flag period, leading to approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of lost time. The race recommenced roughly at the four-hour mark after careful testing ensured all other electrical systems were functioning normally, following the removal of the faulty air conditioning unit.

As the event progresses, teams will look to capitalize on their strategic positioning and adapt to the uncertainty that the interruption has introduced.
