Nick Tandy Returns to Roots in MINI Challenge at Brands Hatch
Brands Hatch, UK — Nick Tandy, celebrated endurance racer and victor of prestigious events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Rolex 24 at Daytona, is set to return to his racing roots this weekend as he substitutes for the injured Jamie Osborne in the MINI Challenge, part of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) support series.
Tandy will drive for NAPA Racing UK, a team associated with the Osborne family, as they vie for the Team’s Championship title. This two-car effort, alongside teammate Lewis Selby, aims to enhance their competitive standing in the series.
Though Tandy is primarily known for his prowess in endurance racing, he maintains a presence in the BTCC support paddock through his own JTR Porsche race team in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. His participation in the MINI Challenge marks a nostalgic return to the car classes that kickstarted his career, including Ministox and Mini Sevens before moving into single-seaters and sports cars.
As Tandy gears up for the event, expectations are high for a strong performance that could bolster NAPA Racing UK’s title aspirations.
