Proton Competition Unveils LMGT3 Line-up and Special Livery for 2026 ELMS

Proton Competition has officially announced its driver roster and commemorative livery for the 2026 European Le Mans Series (ELMS), celebrating 75 years of Porsche Motorsport. The team will field a #75 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2) in the LMGT3 category, featuring renowned Porsche factory driver Richard Lietz alongside ELMS newcomers Matt Kurzejewski and Tom Sargent.

Lietz, returning for his 12th season in the ELMS, has previously won two drivers’ titles in the LMGT2 class with Proton in 2009 and 2010. “I am excited to embark on this new season with a strong team and a rich heritage,” Lietz stated.

Sargent, at 22, is set to make his full-season debut in Europe after competing primarily in Australia and North America. He gained experience in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup and the GT World Challenge America prior to this commitment.

Kurzejewski, the dominant 2024 Michelin Le Mans Cup GT3 champion, returns to active competition after missing the 2025 season. He secured four wins in a Ferrari 296 GT3, showcasing formidable speed and consistency last season.

The #75 livery pays homage to Porsche’s historical aesthetics, reflecting designs used during the 1951 24 Hours of Le Mans and featuring a silver base with black-and-white numbers reminiscent of the Porsche 956 SL.

In addition to the Porsche entry, Proton Competition will field a second LMGT3 car with ‘Bankcy’ as the only confirmed driver thus far. The team will also operate two ORECA 07 – Gibson LMP2 vehicles, including one in collaboration with Ford Racing.

The 2026 European Le Mans Series kicks off from April 10-12 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain.
