Optimum Motorsport’s GT4 Champions Transition to GT3 for 2026 British GT Season
Reigning British GT4 champions Marc Warren and Jack Brown will ascend to the GT3 Silver-Am category in the 2026 season, driving the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo. This move marks a significant step for the duo, who made history last year by becoming the first GT4 Pro-Am pairing to clinch the overall GT4 title since 2016, with Brown securing his second consecutive title—a British GT first.
Warren and Brown’s transition comes after a competitive season in which Optimum Motorsport narrowly missed the championship, fielding factory driver Marvin Kirchhöfer alongside Morgan Tillbrook. With the new McLaren GT3 Evo, a technically advanced vehicle compared to last season’s Artura GT4, the team aims to contend for Silver-Am honors.
Jack Brown commented, “Marc and I enjoyed a very strong year together last season, and moving up to GT3 feels like the natural next step for us. We’re both excited to take on a new challenge.”
Marc Warren added, “I’m absolutely buzzing to move up to GT3… It’s a big step, and our primary concern is winning Silver-Am. We’ll be delighted if we can contend for overall results.”
Optimum Motorsport will confirm additional GT3 and GT4 entries ahead of the media day testing scheduled for March 31 at Silverstone.
