IDEC Sport Reveals Line-Up for 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans

Le Mans, France – IDEC Sport has confirmed its driver line-up for the upcoming 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, announcing the debut of 19-year-old Valerio Rinicella. Rinicella, a member of the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Programme, will partner with Paul Lafargue and Job van Uitert in the #28 ORECA 07 – Gibson LMP2.

Rinicella is currently competing in the European Le Mans Series aboard IDEC’s #18 ORECA, while Lafargue and van Uitert race the sister #28 entry. Regular co-driver Paul-Loup Chatin will miss the endurance classic due to his obligations with a Genesis Hypercar.

After a challenging 2025 campaign, where both IDEC cars retired from podium contention due to wheel failures, the team aims for redemption this year.

Rinicella expressed enthusiasm about his first participation, stating, “It’s a childhood dream coming true…The 24 Hours of Le Mans is not only long but also demanding, with night driving and changing conditions.”

He acknowledged the added complexities of competing alongside experienced drivers and emphasized the need for concentration and anticipation in traffic.

The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans is scheduled to take place from June 10 to June 14.
