Rutronik Racing Expands Lamborghini Partnership for 2027 GT World Challenge Europe
Rutronik Racing, the reigning GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup Teams’ Champion, has announced plans to expand its program to two Lamborghini Temerario GT3 entries for the 2027 season. This move follows the team’s transition from Porsche to Lamborghini this offseason, coinciding with the launch of the new Temerario GT3.
This season, Rutronik has successfully fielded a single Temerario GT3 in the Pro class, achieving multiple podium finishes in the Sprint Cup. Additionally, the team has run a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2) in the Endurance Cup, but this customer initiative will shift to Lamborghini in two years’ time.
While driver lineups have yet to be finalized, discussions are underway with potential candidates. Team principal Klaus Graf expressed optimism, stating, “We want to expand our collaboration with Lamborghini through a long-term partnership. Our progress this year alongside Lamborghini Squadra Corse has been significant, particularly given the challenges of a manufacturer switch.”
Graf added, “By expanding the project to two cars in the GT World Challenge Europe, we aim to deepen our collaboration with Lamborghini even further. The successes of our customer cars in recent years have impressively demonstrated the caliber of our customer projects.”
This strategic expansion positions Rutronik Racing at the forefront of competitive GT racing, reinforcing its commitment to a robust collaboration with Lamborghini.
