PMW Expo 2025: Technical Workshops Cater to Motorsport Professionals
Cologne, Germany – The upcoming PMW Expo, scheduled for November 12-13, 2025, in Cologne, is set to host a series of specialized technical workshops aimed at enhancing the skills of motorsport engineers and technicians. - Instructors: Javier Bermejo (former Performance Engineer at Sauber F1) and Alex Burg (Director at Racetrack Dynamics).
- Overview: This workshop focuses on modern simulation methods in elite motorsport, merging theoretical frameworks with practical applications in Formula 1 environments. Participants will gain insights that are immediately applicable to their teams.

Design of Spring Rates for Race Cars
- Date & Time: November 12, 13:00–17:00
- Instructor: Ton Serné (experienced mechanical engineer and vehicle dynamics educator).
- Overview: This session covers the fundamentals of spring rate design, including coil spring calculations, pre-load effects, and frequency analysis. It promises a hands-on approach to the practicalities of race car geometry.
- Tyre Modelling and Simulation for Performance Prediction and Optimisation
- Date & Time: November 13, 09:00–13:00
- Instructor: Professor George Mavros (leading expert in tyre-road interaction research).
- Overview: Participants will explore predictive modelling of tyre behaviour, with discussions of thermal effects, friction dynamics, and advanced tools such as machine learning applications in tyre performance.
