Driver Line-Up Announcements for 2026 IMSA WeatherTech Championship
Two LMP2 teams have finalized driver line-ups for the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, following Intersport Racing’s recent reveal.
TDS Racing’s #11 ORECA 07-Gibson has secured a new full-time crew comprising Tobias Lütke, Mathias Beche, and David Heinemeier Hansson. Lütke and Hansson transition from Era Motorsport, where they achieved a third-place finish at Petit Le Mans last season. Lütke, making his LMP2 debut, will run the full 2026 season, with Hansson or Beche as a co-driver based on availability. Beche, who finished third overall in the LMP2 Championship last year with TDS, adds depth to the lineup, alongside Charles Milesi, an Alpine factory driver and returning member from the 2025 Daytona crew. Milesi is noted for his prior class win at the Le Mans 24 Hours and leading Alpine to success in the WEC.
Former TDS driver Steven Thomas announced his departure from IMSA after a victory at Petit Le Mans, alongside Mikkel Jensen, who will also leave Peugeot Sport after 2025.
At Pratt Miller Motorsports, Chris Cumming and Pietro Fittipaldi will return for a second season in the #73 ORECA. They achieved a best finish of sixth at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park last year. Notably, Pietro will team with his brother Enzo Fittipaldi for the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Enzo previously secured a podium in the European Le Mans Series, while Manuel Espirito Santo, a co-driver from the same series, will participate as the ‘designated Silver’ driver in the Michelin Endurance Cup races.
2025 marked the return of Pratt Miller to prototype racing after over a decade, previously fielding the Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype.
These line-up confirmations solidify a competitive landscape for the upcoming season, fueling excitement for the 2026 championship.
