BMW Confirms Strong Entry for 2026 ADAC 24H Nürburgring
Nürburgring, Germany — Defending champions BMW have announced a robust return to the ADAC 24H Nürburgring, entering three cars in the prestigious SP-9 category this year after a diminished single-entry campaign in 2025. Rowe Racing leads the charge with two BMW M4 GT3 Evos, while Schubert Motorsport fields a single entry.
The #1 Rowe M4 GT3 Evo will see a strong driver lineup featuring returning champions Augusto Farfus, Kelvin van der Linde, and Raffaele Marciello, joined by Jordan Pepper, who replaces Jesse Krohn. “Returning to the Nürburgring as champion is something very special,” Farfus stated. “The 24 Hours of Nürburgring is the biggest and toughest race on the planet… we have a very strong line-up.”
Rowe’s second entry, the #99 car, will be piloted by Sheldon van der Linde, Dries Vanthoor, Max Hesse, and Dan Harper—each eager to make their mark after missing last year’s race due to a clash with IMSA events. Hesse expressed enthusiasm, noting the team’s ambitions: “Our line-up is very strong… and we’ll work together extremely well.”
Schubert Motorsport’s #77 entry will feature Marco Wittmann, Charles Weerts, Philipp Eng, and 2022 winner Robin Frijns, running on Yokohama tyres. Team Principal Torsten Schubert highlighted the challenge ahead: “Together with Yokohama, we are advancing tyre development for the Nordschleife… I am confident we can be successful.”
In the lead-up to the race, both teams are proactively participating in pre-N24 events, with Schubert set to compete in all rounds of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Series, starting with NLS1 on March 14, 2026. Rowe Racing is similarly preparing with NLS1, NLS2, and 24H Qualifiers.
Andreas Roos, Head of BMW M Motorsport, affirmed the team’s dedication to defending their title, stating, “We have two top teams and twelve outstanding works drivers on the grid… we aim to secure BMW’s 22nd overall victory in the ‘Green Hell.’”
The 2026 ADAC 24H Nürburgring will take place from May 14 to 17, 2026, promising a compelling showdown in one of motorsport’s most challenging endurance races.
