Returning Colors and Team Changes at Watkins Glen
WATKINS GLEN, NY — Wright Motorsports will debut the iconic Chip Hart Racing livery at this weekend’s event, as seen at Le Mans on the #90 Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 R. The colors, presented in Apple Studios’ upcoming F1: The Movie, first appeared during the 2024 Rolex 24 At Daytona, coinciding with filming activities for the film.
Notably, Wright Motorsports has undergone significant transitions: Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer have secured the GT World Challenge America title and now compete full-time in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Adelson has also acquired the team from founder John Wright.
Independence Day Theming

Meanwhile, DragonSpeed has reverted to a predominantly white livery for their #81 Ferrari 296 GT3, having previously run a yellow scheme this season. Riley’s #74 ORECA will also feature similar patriotic detailing.

Last-Minute Appointments in GTD
Lone Star Racing has signed Wyatt Brichacek to replace Eric Filgueiras in the #80 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, bringing European competitive experience from the Michelin Le Mans Cup. Scott Hargrove will rejoin IMSA with Forte Racing as the third driver in the #78 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2, returning after a solid performance last season.
Comeback for Magnus Racing
Following a hiatus, Magnus Racing returns with drivers John Potter, Spencer Pumpelly, and Aston Martin factory ace Marco Sorensen. The #44 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVO will unveil a vibrant new blue and pink livery, along with new sponsorship details to be disclosed during the event.
