Aston Martin Unveils Valkyrie LM: A Track-Only Hypercar
Aston Martin has announced the Valkyrie LM, a limited-run, track-focused variant of its celebrated Valkyrie Hypercar, with just 10 units available for elite clientele. This exclusive model is not homologated for regular use, emphasizing its dedication to high-performance track experiences.
Specifications and Performance
The Valkyrie LM features a rear-wheel drive system powered by a modified version of the LMH’s Cosworth-built 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine. It delivers 520 kW (697 hp), consistent with regulatory limits, and is recalibrated to utilize readily available fuels.
While the LM is closely related to the Valkyries competing in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and IMSA, it has been fine-tuned for accessibility to amateur drivers. Significant race-specific elements like ballast and FIA-regulation electronics have been removed, and a bespoke cockpit interface has been implemented. A user-friendly open-loop torque control system replaces the closed-loop system used in racing.
The vehicle retains a seven-speed sequential transmission operated via a semi-automatic paddle shift, identical to its racing counterpart. The suspension utilizes double wishbones at both ends, featuring pushrod-actuated torsion bar springs and adjustable dampers.
Tires and Exclusive Features
The Valkyrie LM will be fitted with custom Pirelli performance tires, differing from the Michelin tires used in official racing.
Adam Carter, Aston Martin’s Head of Endurance Motorsport, highlighted the design philosophy: “The Valkyrie LM is close to identical to the race car that is currently competing in WEC and IMSA, with only a few minor deviations to ensure it is a non-homologated variant.”
Ownership and Experience
Purchasing a Valkyrie LM includes full ownership, with Aston Martin offering a specialized storage solution tied to an exclusive driver development program. This program encompasses dedicated track days with Aston Martin engineers and driver coaches providing guidance through track walks, classroom sessions, and data analysis.
Owners will officially receive their vehicles starting in Q2 2026, participating in exclusive handover events. Two additional fully supported track days will be part of the brand’s "UNLEASHED" experience offered at premier circuits in Q3 and Q4 2026.
Executive Insights
Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark noted, “Valkyrie LM is an exquisite opportunity to be part of the most exclusive Aston Martin owners club in the world.” He underscored the vehicle’s embodiment of the dynamic forces and advanced technology that define the hypercar’s racing pedigree.
This unveiling solidifies Aston Martin’s commitment to providing its customers a genuine connection to the high-performance standards of its racing lineage, showcasing an elite blend of accessibility and exclusivity in hypercar performance.
