Jacob Abel to Feature Historic Miller Livery at Snap-on 250
Jacob Abel, the rookie driver for Dale Coyne Racing, will showcase a special Miller Brewing Company livery during the Snap-on 250 at the Milwaukee Mile this weekend. This marks a significant return for Miller, which has been a steadfast presence in the region for 50 years.
Abel’s No. 51 Honda will be temporarily renumbered to No. 50, honoring both Miller’s local roots and the heritage of the CART Indy cars driven by Bobby Rahal in the 1990s. The design pays homage to the late baseball icon Bob Uecker, a longstanding Miller spokesperson, featuring his famed tagline, “I must be in the front row!” along the No. 50’s engine cover.
"I’m honored and thrilled to have Miller Lite join us at the famed Milwaukee Mile,” said Abel. “I love the cool livery design and think it’s only fitting this take place in Milwaukee—a place with such a long history for both IndyCar racing and the Miller Lite brand.”
The weekend will also serve as a tribute to Uecker, who passed away in January, with remembrance planned during the Milwaukee Brewers’ game against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday.
As the IndyCar Series embraces its heritage, Abel’s participation and the celebration of Miller’s legacy highlight the deep-rooted connections between motorsports and regional culture.
