Algarve Pro Racing Reveals Lineup for Asian Le Mans Series
Algarve Pro Racing, a six-time LMP2 Teams’ Champion, has confirmed its driver lineup for the 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series season. The #20 ORECA 07 – Gibson will feature Jens Reno Møller, Theodor Jensen, and Charlie Wurz as drivers in a three-car effort from the Portuguese team.
Jens Reno Møller joins Algarve Pro Racing after a strong performance with High Class Racing last season, during which he notably broke Giorgio Roda’s perfect qualifying streak. Møller marked his LMP2 breakthrough with a maiden victory at the 4 Hours of Imola in July, competing under LMP2 Pro/Am.
“The Asian Le Mans Series offers racing in a compressed timetable, allowing our new crew to learn together quickly,” Møller said. He expressed confidence in competing strongly against a formidable LMP2 field, emphasizing Algarve Pro’s impressive track record.
Theodor Jensen, the reigning LMP3 Drivers’ Champion, made his LMP2 debut last season alongside Møller. After racing in the ELMS and the 24 Hours of Le Mans with CLX Motorsport, Jensen noted the learning opportunities ahead: “I hope to bring some lessons learned to this effort.”
Charlie Wurz, son of two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Alex Wurz, will make his prototype debut. Currently returning to Europe after competing in Super Formula in Japan, Wurz is eager to join the Algarve Pro team. “APR has an incredible track record, and I’m excited about this new challenge,” he remarked.
Algarve Pro Racing will also field the #4 CrowdStrike Racing by APR ORECA and the #25 entry, featuring drivers Michael Jensen, Enzo Trulli, and Malthe Jakobsen. Team principal Stewart Cox highlighted the potential of the new trio: “We expect them to be competitive from the start and contribute to another championship win.”
The Asian Le Mans Series season opener will take place at Circuit Paul Ricard from November 13-15, 2026.
