Manthey Racing Unveils Driver Line-up for Asian Le Mans Series
Manthey Racing has announced its driver roster for the upcoming Asian Le Mans Series, set to field two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs (992.2) in the competition. The team, the reigning GT Teams’ Champion for the 2024/25 season, is eager to reclaim its title following a narrowly missed defense last year.
The #91 entry will see Max Moritz, Raphael Rennhofer, and Klaus Bachler behind the wheel, while Joel Monegro, Flynt Schuring, and Richard Lietz will pilot the #92. This line-up reflects a significant overhaul, with only Bachler and Lietz returning from last season, as the other four drivers will be making their GT3 debut for Manthey.
Rennhofer, 19, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Competing in the Asian Le Mans Series is a huge opportunity for me and my career… This is my first full-season GT3 programme, and I am grateful for the chance.” He looks forward to learning from experienced teammates and aims for victory.
Monegro arrives with momentum, having recently clinched the Am Drivers’ title in the International GT Open and successes in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe. Lietz aims to secure his first Asian Le Mans title after a second-place finish in the previous season.
Head of Racing Patrick Arkenau emphasized the strategic depth of the line-up, commenting, “We have assembled two very strong driver line-ups featuring both familiar and new faces. We are particularly excited about Raphael’s progression and the opportunity to support Flynt Schuring’s development alongside experienced drivers.”
The 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series will kick off from November 13 to 15, 2026, at Circuit Paul Ricard in France. Manthey Racing is poised to make a strong contention for the championship with an infusion of new talent and experienced drivers.
