Cadillac Unveils Livery for Le Mans Debut
Cadillac has revealed the striking livery of the Wayne Taylor Racing (WTR) V-Series.R LMDh, set to compete in the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours on June 14-15. Backed by Mobil 1, the car marks WTR’s inaugural participation at Le Mans, shifting from a two-car effort in the IMSA SportsCar Championship to this high-stakes global event.
The #101 entry, driven by Wayne Taylor’s sons Ricky and Jordan Tayor alongside Filipe Albuquerque, was recently shakedown-tested at Putnam Park Circuit before being transported to Europe. This entry adds to Cadillac’s roster at Le Mans, joining Action Express Racing, both of which compete full-time in IMSA.
Mobil 1’s strategic global alliance manager, Tony Esposito, shared, “This new livery reflects what our work with Cadillac is all about – performance, passion, and pushing boundaries. We’re thrilled to see it come to life on track at Le Mans, where our legacy in motorsport continues.”
WTR’s participation highlights its successful pedigree in North American endurance racing, boasting four victories at the Daytona 24 Hours and multiple Sebring 12 Hours wins since its formation in 2007. Team founder Wayne Taylor’s history at Le Mans, including a fourth-place finish on his debut and an LMP1 class win in 1998, fuels the team’s ambition.
Supporting the efforts, Jota will maintain its existing livery for its two V-Series.R entries, while Action Express returns with the #311, echoing its colors from last year’s Le Mans. As part of the World Endurance Championship, Cadillac’s additional entries will not accrue points, aligning with the event’s regulations that allow manufacturers to broaden their representation.
With this strategic move, Cadillac aims to cement its legacy in the highly competitive arena of endurance racing.
