Mobil 1 to Sponsor Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing at 24 Hours of Le Mans
Le Mans, France — Mobil 1 has announced its role as the primary sponsor for Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing (WTR) at the upcoming 93rd annual 24 Hours of Le Mans. This partnership reinforces Mobil 1’s commitment to endurance racing and the performance-driven ethos shared with Cadillac.
The No. 101 Cadillac WTR V-Series.R will debut a striking blue livery, akin to that of the No. 10 WTR Cadillac in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The design features white accents and prominently displays the Mobil 1 logo along the car’s flanks.
This new livery will adorn the team’s latest Cadillac V-Series.R chassis (#023), which successfully completed a shakedown at the Putnam Park Road Course in Indiana last week. The vehicle will be piloted by drivers Ricky Taylor, Jordan Taylor, and Filipe Albuquerque, marking the team’s first participation in Le Mans.
“Le Mans is the ultimate proving ground in motorsport, and we’re proud to support Cadillac’s ambitions through our continued technical partnership,” said Tony Esposito, Strategic Global Alliance Manager of ExxonMobil. He emphasized that the new livery symbolizes their collaborative efforts focused on performance and innovation.
Mobil 1 has a longstanding association with Cadillac Racing, having served as an associate sponsor across various top-tier prototype teams, including Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA in the FIA World Endurance Championship and Cadillac Whelen (Action Express Racing) in IMSA. Notably, the latter featured a special Mobil 1 livery during the Twelve Hours of Sebring earlier this year.
As anticipation builds for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Mobil 1 and Cadillac WTR aim to leverage their combined expertise to make a significant impact on one of motorsport’s most prestigious stages.
