Legacy Motor Club Welcomes Justin Alexander as No. 43 Crew Chief
Legacy Motor Club has appointed Justin Alexander as the crew chief for Erik Jones and the No. 43 Toyota team, effective immediately for the current racing season. Alexander transitions from Richard Childress Racing, where he served as crew chief for Austin Dillon, accumulating five victories over 270 NASCAR Cup Series starts.
He replaces Ben Beshore, who concluded his tenure with Jones after a successful partnership that yielded five top-10 finishes and four top-five finishes in 2025, ultimately finishing 24th in the championship standings. Beshore will now take on the role of director of race engineering, a decision aimed at bolstering the team’s technical performance.
Jimmie Johnson, owner of Legacy Motor Club, praised Alexander’s experience and leadership, stating, “Justin is a tremendous addition to our crew chief lineup. His communication style aligns perfectly with our direction.” Cal Wells III, CEO, expressed confidence in the new dynamics, highlighting the potential for enhanced team performance.
In a further organizational shift, Scott Roggenbauer has been promoted to chief operating officer after serving as chief financial officer since 2025. These strategic changes signal Legacy Motor Club’s commitment to optimizing its competitive edge in the NASCAR Cup Series.
