Winward Racing Unveils Driver Line-up for 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Season
Winward Racing, representing Mercedes-AMG, has confirmed its driver line-up for the upcoming 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series. The Texan team will field a single AMG GT3 EVO, returning to the series after competing previously.
The driver trio consists of Rinat Salikhov, Marvin Dienst, and Gabriele Piana, who have collaborated for two seasons in the GT World Challenge Europe. They will share the #87 Mercedes-AMG during the winter campaign.
In 2023, Salikhov and Dienst placed second in both the Bronze Drivers’ Championship full-season standings and the Sprint Cup, while also securing fourth in the Endurance Cup Bronze Drivers’ Championship. Salikhov and Piana previously raced for Winward Racing in the 2024/25 Asian Le Mans Series, where they finished third in the GT Drivers’ Championship alongside Mercedes-AMG factory drivers Jules Gounon and Luca Stolz. Notably, Dienst makes his debut in the Asian Le Mans Series.
The season kicks off with a pair of four-hour races at Circuit Paul Ricard, France, from November 13-15, 2026.
