YORKSHIRE, UK—United Autosports has announced its driver line-up for the #22 ORECA 07-Gibson LMP2 entry in the upcoming 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series. This campaign will mark the sportscar debut of 25-year-old IndyCar racer Sting Ray Robb, joining forces with Giorgio Roda and Ian Aguilera across six races in three rounds.
Robb, the 2020 Indy Pro 2000 champion, expressed enthusiasm for the transition to endurance racing: “I’m excited to bring my experience into a completely new challenge. United Autosports has a winning culture, and I want to be part of that environment.”
Ian Aguilera, 19, joins United Autosports following his rookie season in LMP2 with CLX Motorsport, which included participation in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Aguilera stated, “Joining United Autosports is a fantastic opportunity and an important step forward in my racing career.”
Giorgio Roda, returning to the team after a solid 2025 Asian Le Mans Series season, is determined to capitalize on his previous performance. “We showed strong pace in qualifying last season. The ambition is to be fighting at the front from the very first race,” Roda added.
United Autosports’ CEO, Richard Dean, highlighted the team’s expectations: “We’re excited to welcome Sting Ray and Ian, and to have Giorgio return. It’s a strong combination, and we intend to fight for race wins and the championship.”
The 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series will commence at Circuit Paul Ricard, France, from November 13-15, 2026. Alongside the #22 entry, United Autosports will field a second ORECA, driven by Phil Fayer, Mikkel Jensen, and Hunter McElrea, further aiming to build on their recent European Le Mans Series success.
This strategic line-up positions United Autosports to maintain its competitive edge in the endurance racing landscape as they embark on their latest season challenge.
