Tsunami RT Confirms Return to Bathurst 12 Hour in 2027
Mount Panorama, Australia — Tsunami RT has officially announced its participation in the 2027 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, marking the team’s second appearance at this prestigious endurance event with their #79 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO.
The team made its inaugural appearance in 2026, which ended prematurely after a significant incident at the top of the Mountain caused them to retire after 192 laps. Despite the disappointing outcome, the challenging nature of Mount Panorama and the enthusiastic Australian fanbase have motivated Tsunami RT to return.
Valerio M. Speziali, Team Principal, expressed optimism about the upcoming race: “Our debut at the Bathurst 12 Hour marked the beginning of a new challenge in our endurance journey. Unfortunately, our first experience did not end as we had hoped, but we are looking forward to returning and doing what we love most: racing.”
Speziali noted that the team has already begun preparations for 2027, aiming to improve on their previous performance. “We know how demanding this challenge is. Every lap requires utmost concentration and respect for the circuit,” he stated.
Further details, including the driver roster for the 2027 campaign, will be announced closer to the event. Tsunami RT is determined to make a significant impact at one of the most demanding races on the international GT calendar.
